Rev. Aaron Phillips is a Baptist preacher and pastor of Sure House Baptist Church in Cleveland. He began his career as an Assistant Cuyahoga County Prosecutor under the Honorable Stephanie Tubbs Jones before turning to ministry, and now brings that same legal grounding to his work as an activist and community voice. He contributes commentary on the issues that matter — politics, faith, and social justice — writing as both a pastor and a Black man determined not to stay silent.
When he’s not writing, Rev. Phillips is in the pulpit at Sure House Baptist Church, where every Sunday he works to give the congregation an excellent experience — and to make the case that faith and activism were never meant to be separate callings.
