Rhonda Crowder

Rhonda Crowder is a Cleveland-based journalist, author, and literacy advocate with more than two decades of experience covering the people, culture, and community stories that shape Northeast Ohio. A Cleveland State University graduate with a degree in English and a concentration in creative writing, editing, and publishing, she spent 11 years as a general assignment reporter for the Call and Post before building a freelance career spanning feature writing, editing, and radio.

She currently serves as associate publisher of Who's Who in Black Cleveland and contributes regularly to Cleveland Magazine and The Land, where her reporting spotlights Black-owned businesses, community leaders, and the neighborhoods too often left out of the city's larger narrative.
